Farm Family--August 16, 2011

Time for Lilly's updated pictures--AGAIN--and we decided to do family ones as well. Our amazing moms (mom and mother-in-law, Donnelly) were gracious enough to deal with itchy wheat, a crazy 3-year-old, and a 10-month-old who was teething. They are amazing! Here are a few favorites:

Happy 10 Months Lilly--August 5, 2011

I'm not even going to talk about how Lilly is ten months already--too close to being 1! Oh, and please excuse the scrapes on her poor little face--camping wounds!

Alturus Lake--Aug. 1- 3, 2011

We went camping at Alturus Lake this year, which was just gorgeous, and so much fun. My good friend, Keshia, and her son, Zane, came, along with Michelle and Jake's cousin, Devin. Our other friends were planning on coming, but due to a work emergency were unable to make it :-(. We had such a great time. I didn't take many pics this year, just too busy with two kids! Alturus has a gorgeous beach area that Jackson had a blast swimming and playing at, we had lovely campfire times, and Jake squeezed in a lot of unsuccessful, but relaxing, fishing! God's glory is truly amazing and His creation never ceases to amaze me, no matter how many times I see it!!!

Jackson's First Sleepover--July 29, 2011

We watched our good friends' son, Zane, one Friday night while they celebrated their anniversary. He spent the night and boy did those boys have a great time! Unintentionally, they were dressed nearly the same, and as I was watching them play golf outside that evening, I decided I had to have a picture. They were so appropriately dressed like little golfers and it was their idea to golf. They played outside for hours, then went in for raspberries and lemonade and a movie. (And at this age, they actually went to bed at a decent hour!)

Fun with the Neighbor Girls--July 7, 2011

Our neighbor has three granddaughters who are close to Jackson's age. We have been lucky enough to have quite a few visits from the girls this summer and Jackson always has so much fun with them! They are all sweethearts and love coming over to play in our backyard.

Well one night they saw us outside and wanted to play with Jackson. I was giving Jackson and Lilly rides in the wagon and they wanted rides too, so I decided to pack them all in there and walk them to the park. Five little kids packed into one wagon! That was one crowded (and heavy) wagon!

Bookworms--July 8, 2011

So one day I was busy cleaning the kitchen after lunch and when I walked back into the living room both my children were completely engrossed in books. Unfortunately, by the time I got the camera, I was too late to capture exactly what I saw, but it was just too cute not to post. It definitely made this teacher mom proud ;-).


This picture was obviously on a different day, but shows Lilly's love for books all the same! We have another basket in our living room that I keep some of her toys in and she almost always goes to the book basket grabs books out to look through before grabbing toys. Crazy girl!
